Bear Medicine were a society of warriors who upon performing their ceremonies, would transform into bears. So real were these ceremonies that people would stay away from them during their transformation. They had the power to heal with roots and herbs when they were in their bear form, digging up the medicine they needed. They had the knowledge of knowing what medicine or roots has the power to heal.
