About the event

On April 24 & 25, 2019, The Keya Foundation is partnering with Missouri Breaks Industries Research, Inc. to bring the 5th Annual Research Symposium: Researching, Restoring, and Rebuilding Our Oyate 'Family' for a Longer Life to the Cheyenne River Reservation. The 2019 theme is "Making Research Work for You" and the event will be held at the Oglala Lakota College Center in Eagle Butte.

On Thursday, April 25th. Approximately 75 adults will experience what health and science research is happening on Cheyenne River and how it is affecting gather and impacting their heart. The 2019 Keynot Speaker is Dr. Michael Snyder from Stanford university. He will share research on wearables (such as Fitbits) and how they are changing the way individuals think about and approach their health.
